Harvest moon is full,
Reveals a sharp glinting blade,
Until second thrust.
Roots break the surface,
Pull a screaming boy below,
Sustenance once more.

I saw an announcement about this contest posted in a LJ entry by stonetable (Adam Israel), and I just had to sign up here and enter. Horrorku are one of my favorite forms of poem.
