The Hastings location in Laramie, WY told me that they have copies of Shroud but they're still in their back room. They said they received them a few days ago.

So why aren't they on the shelves?

They told me they would leave a note for the morning magazine dude to look for the magazines and stock them on the shelves.

I'll call back in a few days and see.

I went to the Fort Wayne, IN B&N on Jefferson today. There was nothing on the shelves, so I talked to the woman stocking the magazines. She was apparently able to find Shroud listed in their system, but it wasn't on the shelves. It's possible they may have just sold out. Next time I go down there, I'll give it another look.

I went ahead and signed up for a subscription to Shroud!

I'm fairly certain the B&N in my area is sold out of their 4 copies.

My Barnes & Noble's CRM has a got a call into the newstand person at corporate, and promises to get back to me. She's good people; if she gets the yay, she'll order.

Update for Towson, MD:

I was in that area on Sat. and checked for Shroud. It was on the shelf! About five copies (in my excitement I forgot to count them). But they were on the second tier. So I moved them to the front (I have a pic that I will try to upload soon!), let the store manager know I moved them so they wouldn't be moved back, and I also bought a copy.

B&N in Metarie (sp??) Louisiana has copies, at least one bought there. A friend of a friend actually works at the store and gave a report.

Went back to the Fort Wayne B&N today. Again, no dice--they said they might not get it in until early August. However, my folks in CT seemed to find their issue okay. I'll find out what store that is later and report back.
